How to configure the App
After you have installed the NTBIS Covid 19 Insights application, you need to connect it to the data sources in order to get and explore an up-to-date information. You will see the yellow header show below, both when browsing the app as well as when accessing the associated Power BI workspace:
Now click the Connect your data link. It will take you to the Parameters screen. You don't need to configure any parameter - just click Next.
On the "You are connecting to (1 of 2)" screen leave the Authentication method to the default value of Anonymous and click Sign in and Continue
On the "You are connecting to (2 of 2)" screen leave the Authentication method to the default value of Anonymous and click Sign in and Connect:
That's all. Now just wait for the data to refresh.
By default, the associated dataset is set to refresh once per day. However, the ECDC update their data only once per week, on Thursday. Usually it is around 14:00 UTC, but there is no fixed time. It makes sense to change the dataset's refresh settings and move it to a weekly schedule. Refer to the Configure scheduled refresh Microsoft article for details how to modify the dataset refresh schedule.
